A Faulty Printer July 26, 2010 Toni DiVittorio I am actually a bit disappointed that I have to return this printer because for the most part, I like it. However, it makes this excruciating sound, like it's eating up the paper, every time it prints. Luckily the paper comes out fine but it is just unbearable to listen to,
major disappointment July 25, 2010 Cara (Tampa, FL, US) I got this all in one for Christmas. We own a small landscape business and this printer is used for monthly statements as well as pictures of flowers for customers. The only thing I like about this printer is that it has wonderful print quality for the pictures. It is awesome! Now to the list of things I do not like... It was easy to set up but then all of a sudden is somehow changed itself in my quickbooks and was not optional for print from that program. It took me a week and multiple calls to HP to get it fixed. It "thinks" and makes tons of noise for about a minute or two before printing. This is rather annoyng. It also freezes up my computer until the job is done before allowing me to go onto my next print job. This takes up a lot of my valuable time. All my other printers save the jobs and allow me to continue on. This is not the printer I would recommend unless you have time to wait and hear it "think" for minutes at a time. It is also rather loud when it does this. Ink is also very expensive and I seem to go through it more on this printer than I did my last prnter. Stay away from this printer!
HP Printer/Fax/Copier July 25, 2010 Renie This HP printer was easy to install and easier to use.(I'm not an expert in these things)The Company that it origated from(Beach Camera)
was very cooperative correcting a shipping error, and Amazon also helped with the problem.
Don't Buy HP Officejet 6500 July 23, 2010 Arlene Berry (Los Angeles, CA) I purchased the OfficeJet 6500 in October 2009. Immediately, I started having problems with the scan button and spent 3 hours, yes, 3 hours with technical support and another two hours for other problems. In the last couple of weeks the top feeder has been squeaking when faxing or copying.
Please read this and don't buy any HP product: I spent a total of 5 hours calling HP in Palo Alto, California. I wrote Mark Hurd the CEO and never received any response from him. I was assigned various case managers and they all wanted to give me a refurbished model. I refused their very generous offer (not generous at all). Their customer service is atrocious, the manners of the case managers are terrible.
If you are smart, get an Epson. I had one for 5 years and not a problem in the world.
Stay away July 16, 2010 Wally1 Very slow, takes it a long time to decide that it has been asked to print, then goes through several manipulations before it prints. A total ink hog. We have owned several printers through the years this is by far the worst one for ink usage. DO NOT BUY! A waste of money.
